UltraEbre and Justdiggit unite to champion environmental action in 2026

UltraEbre continues to expand its international partner family, and we are delighted to announce a new collaboration with environmental organisation Justdiggit for the upcoming 2026 edition of UltraEbre Swim Marathon.

JD01As part of the partnership, Justdiggit joins UltraEbre as an Environmental Partner, bringing its inspiring mission of restoring degraded landscapes and cooling the planet through nature-based solutions to one of Europe’s most distinctive open-water endurance swim events. Justdiggit’s mission is to inspire millions to take action to regreen degraded landscapes in Africa through scalable, practical restoration programmes.

For UltraEbre, the connection is natural.

Open-water swimmers experience the natural environment in a uniquely direct and powerful way. Rivers, seas, lakes, and wild swimming locations are not simply venues for sport — they are ecosystems that deserve protection, restoration, and long-term stewardship.

That makes Justdiggit a compelling partner for UltraEbre.

Known for its practical and optimistic approach to climate action, Justdiggit works alongside local communities and partners to restore landscapes, improve biodiversity, strengthen climate resilience, and help cool the planet through nature-based solutions.

UltraEbre Swim Marathon is one of Southern Europe’s most distinctive endurance swim challenges, bringing swimmers together for a 30.8km downstream adventure through the spectacular River Ebro in Catalonia, Spain. Combining endurance, adventure, community, and a deep connection to the natural environment, the event continues to attract swimmers from across Europe and beyond.

The partnership will see Justdiggit featured across UltraEbre communications, environmental storytelling, and selected campaign activity in the build-up to the event, helping connect the UltraEbre community with meaningful positive climate action.

UltraEbre organisers are particularly pleased to welcome a partner whose mission aligns with the event’s wider values around environmental awareness, responsible adventure, and giving something positive back through sport.

Speaking about the partnership, UltraEbre organisers said: “UltraEbre takes place in a remarkable natural environment, and as swimmers we understand just how important healthy ecosystems are. Partnering with Justdiggit gives us an opportunity to connect our community with a genuinely positive environmental mission focused on restoration, resilience, and practical climate action. We are proud to welcome them to the UltraEbre family for 2026”.

As UltraEbre continues to strengthen its growing international network of partners, collaborations like this help broaden the event’s impact beyond sport alone, creating opportunities to connect endurance adventure with environmental responsibility and positive action.

We are proud to welcome Justdiggit to the UltraEbre family and look forward to working together to celebrate endurance swimming, nature, and meaningful environmental action.
